A customer from Alaska wanted a challah board that paid homage to the snow-capped mountain and the glacier-clear waters of the great wilderness.

Someone contacted me and said he liked my work but it was too abstract for him. He wanted a literal scene. "What kind of scene?" I asked. "Oh, how about Moses crossing the Red Sea?" he replied. Accepting the challenge I created the splitting of the Red Sea with the brown sand descending and then ascending through the blue water.

A customer wanted a challah board that focused on Israel. I had some burl wood I wanted to use and together it created a world map of sorts.
